Thank you for considering a volunteer opportunity with the SSMS Band.
We have a very active schedule and need volunteers to help with many functions throughout the year. Please check the "Schedules & Dates" page on a regular basis and call Mr. Helm at 754-322-4522 if you see an activity that interests you.
Examples:
Fundraisers:
Organize products, collect and count money, set up immediate rewards for students, monitor the march-a-thon, attend to various other details to insure success.
Performances:
Equipment transfer, setup, take down and return to SSMS, rope off seats for students, deal with programs, adults on buses, truck rental and driving.
In the Band Room:
The music library is always in need of attention (sorting, retrieving, placing, preparing for student use). Typing lists and letters, and many other normal office functions. Helpful parents may walk in any time to get assigned a job. There is always something to do in the band room to help the kids have an awesome experience.
Web Site:
Help is needed for maintaining pictures on the web site. Please contact Mr. Helm if you have skills in this area.
